Card-operated laundry facilities are located in each residence hall. Each load costs $1.75 to wash and $1.75 to dry. Summer guests who do not have an individual Howard University ID card may check out a temporary laundry card with the front desk attendant of your assigned residence hall. Instructions for adding funds will also be available at the front desk. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are not provided.
All mail, packages and deliveries can be retrieved from the Mail Room in your assigned residence hall. Summer hours will be posted at the front desk. Guests should not have anything delivered to the residence hall until they have received their room number and officially checked into the residence hall. Mail that arrives before or after a resident’s scheduled move-in will be returned to sender.
Please note that packages are delivered to the Universities’ Central Mail Office prior to delivery to the residence halls. Therefore, it may take up to 72 hours for your mail to be delivered to your hall.
Guests will receive a Welcome Email at least two weeks prior to your scheduled check-in date with detailed check-in instructions. You will need to show a valid photo ID at time of check-in. An approved government-issued photo ID can be either a driver’s license or other state-issued ID.
